Family Owned & Operated
Kent General Contracting began over 20 years ago when Ryan Kent set out with a simple mission — to bring quality craftsmanship and trusted service to South Jersey. What started as a one‑man operation has grown into a true family‑owned and operated company. Today, Ryan’s sons proudly work alongside him, carrying on his legacy and passion for building. Over the years, Ryan has built and renovated so many homes across the region that he’s now completing projects for the next generation — creating dream spaces for the children of his very first clients. Together, the Kent family continues to beautify South Jersey and the surrounding areas, one project, and one relationship, at a time.

Our entire team has been thoroughly vetted and background checked to assure that your renovation is in trusted hands. In addition to all of our contractors being background checked, we carry 3x New Jersey's maximum insurances.
Beginning-to-End Management
From studs to finished, we carefully plan out your renovation project, our dedicated project managers are there every step of the way. They coordinate all aspects of the project, ensuring seamless collaboration among all parties involved and guaranteeing the project is completed on time and within budget.
Permit Procurement
We handle obtaining all necessary permits and inspections. We efficiently manage the process, handling paperwork and local regulations to ensure your remodel progresses smoothly and meets all compliance requirements.
Interior Design Assistance
With the expert guidance of our designers, we can assist you in garnering top-quality materials, fixtures, and finishes. We collaborate closely with industry trusted suppliers to bring you the latest trends and high functioning design.
The Warranty
We prioritize quality in every remodel and we stand by our craftsmanship and provide a 1 year post labor warranty. In the event that something needs attention or touched up, we're only 1 call away.

In 2024, Kent General Contracting set out to give back to the community that has supported us for more than two decades. We launched our “Pay It Forward” initiative — a heartfelt campaign inviting neighbors to nominate a deserving family to receive the gift of a fully renovated bathroom. The goal was simple: to make a real difference for someone in need, chosen not by us, but by the voices of our community.

After dozens of moving nominations, the Hussain/Khan family was selected. Their son had been involved in a life‑altering motorcycle accident that left him permanently paralyzed from the waist down. We knew their home needed to adapt to this new reality, so we built them an ADA‑compliant bathroom designed for accessibility, safety, and dignity.
This project was more than construction — it was a labor of love, a way to turn compassion into action. And it’s only the beginning of how Kent General Contracting plans to “Pay It Forward” in the years to come.
